We can confirm that midfielder Wayne Sproule has left Penicuik.
Signed from Haddington Athletic in the summer of 2016, Wayne cemented his place on the right side of the midfield, scoring an early goal of the season contender against Hill of Beath. He missed the majority of the second half of that campaign while travelling the world, returning in time to appear in our final two matches that season.
Unfortunately his second season at the club was plagued by injury, with Wayne missing all but the last minute of the season, coming on as a last minute substitute in the East of Scotland Cup victory.
This season Wayne would go on to make twenty two appearances, scoring twice, playing his part in our successful Conference A campaign.
Overall Wayne played 43 times for the Cuikie, scoring five times.
