Scott McCrory-Irving departs for Tranent Juniors

We can confirm the transfer of midfielder Scott McCrory-Irving to Tranent Juniors.


Scott had indicated he would be moving on upon the conclusion of his contract at the end of the season and it was mutually agreed to allow Scott to move on now.


Scotty first joined the Cuikie in July 2017 from Edinburgh University, marking his debut season with an East of Scotland Cup winners medal, and helping the club to the East of Scotland Conference A win a year later, scoring the goal that clinched the title. He also memorably scored the winnera against Whitehill Welfare to book the club's place in the Scottish Cup proper the following season. He returned to former club Spartans at the beginning of the 2020 'Covid' season having made 107 appearances, in which he scored 11 goals and assisted 36 times.


He returned after just over a year away at Spartans in September 2021, making his second debut against Tranent in the Scottish Cup before re-opening his goalscoring account a week later against Dundonald. He played his part in the club's second place finish last year and leaves for a second time having made racked up a further 52 appearances, 10 goals and 19 assists, as well a viral video watched nearly one million times!


Overall he made 159 appearances for the Cuikie, scoring 21 goals and contributing 55 assists.
