We are delighted to confirm the signing of forward Nicky Reid from Lowland League side Spartans.
Equally comfortable up front or deeper, local lad Nicky has previously spent time within the Hibernian Youth Academy, before moving into Spartans, breaking into their first team squad aged just 16 at the start of last season, bagging a number of goals including a memorable winner up at Deveronvale in the Scottish Cup.
Our new #23 Nicky said upon signing: “I’ve always wanted to play for Penicuik, ever since I moved here I’ve seen the ground walking past on a day to day basis and I’ve always wanted to play here. It’ll feel brilliant, I can’t wait.
I think I can bring positivity going forward. Pace and energy, trying to get into the final third. Score some goals and hopefully win some titles.”
