We can confirm the transfer of striker Keith Lough to Bonnyrigg Rose.
Keith joined the Cuikie in the summer of 2015 from Gala Fairydean Rovers, playing 33 times, scoring 5 goals in his debut season. He opened his account with a curling effort against Brechin Vics in the Junior Cup and went on to play a big part in the Fife & Lothians Cup run, scoring against Rosyth in the 3rd Round and bagging the winner at Kelty in the Semi Final. In the Final victory, Keith also played a part in two of Penicuik’s goals, with assists for Darrell Young’s and Ryan McCallum’s goals.
Keith moved to a more central role at the beginning of last season, making 30 appearances and scoring 22 goals, as he finished our top scorer. Notable highlights included a hat-trick at eventual champions Kelty Hearts and his goal of the season volley against Kirkintilloch Rob Roy, with injury robbing Keith of much of the latter part of the season.
This season, Keith has played 7 times, scoring four times, with his final appearance in a Cuikie shirt coming against Bonnyrigg Rose, though it was cut short due to injury.
Overall, Keith played 70 times, scoring 31 goals and claiming an assist 16 times.
Everyone at Penicuik wishes Keith all the best at his new club, and thank you for your time at Penicuik Park!
