We are delighted to confirm the appointment of Calum Elliot as the new Manager of Penicuik Athletic Football Club.
Calum becomes our ninth manager of the modern era, having previously managed Edinburgh United, Mousehole AFC, Tynecastle and Tranent, having won the East of Scotland Conference B with Tynecastle and of course, the East of Scotland Premier Division title last season with Tranent, pipping ourselves on goal difference.
Calum also enjoyed a fantastic playing career where he represented Hearts, Motherwell, Livingston, Dundee, Žalgiris Vilnius, Alloa Athletic and Raith Rovers, as well as Scotland U19s and U20s in international competitions such as the U19 European Championships and U20 World Cup.
On his appointment, Calum said, “Having played against the club over the last few years, I realise how big the club can be. Obviously the season has not been ideal in terms of results but I've got confidence in myself that I can come in and make sure there is an upturn in results, hopefully very quickly.“
We wish Calum all the very best in his new role.
Welcome to the Cuikie and our #CuikieFamily!
